Rima Kallingal has dubbed (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) a 'male mafia' and said there’s no question of going back to the association. , Remya Nambeesan and Geethu Mohandas had quit the association post Dileep’s inclusion after his release from jail in the actress assault case. Recently, its president Mohanlal said the actresses would have to apply afresh if they wanted to rejoin.

The scenario would’ve been very different if the two actors had acted appropriately and effectively. She felt it was childish to not confront the issue and rejected the claim that WCC was trying to humiliate Mohanlal.
